I traded for a P89, got it yesterday went to the range and put 100 rds through it. It preformed without a hitch, and I have to shoot one handed as I tried to cut my index finger off (left). Put all 100 in a 4" circle from 20 yds not bad for a one handed man.
It came with two 10 rd Mags and two 35 rd mags, wood grips along with standard grips. Wish the 35 rd mags were 10 or 15 rd mags but cant have everything.
I am very pleased with the trade will put 400 more through it this weekend.

The things a tank I wish I still had mine but I wanted the p239 more than I wanted to keep the Ruger. I took a newbie out shooting and managed to stop him about four seconds before he cut his left index finger off with a S&W 6906. No quicker way to turn simeone off to shooting :what:

I own a few 9mm handguns: Glock, Browning....................................
I like the P89 the most. I have shot it a ton. I have used mine in IDPA and IPSC. I hit a coyote through the vitals on an aimed shot at slightly more than 100 yards. I shot a running mule deer with my P89.

You will be happy with it.

It was the first time he had ever fired a gun. I gave him a rundown of what to do and what not to do. I stepped back and said " ok fire when ready" and then noticed that his left index finger was resting to where if he would have fired the gun his finger would have fell inside of the the slide and pinched the end of his finger off (or at least smashed the crap out of it). I told him to hold on and I took the gun from him and showed him what he was fixing to do. Not a good thing.

I cut my left index knuckle and the tendon sharpning my knife! I will not be able to move my left index finger until Nov 15 due to the sergery to reattach the tendon. Kinda a hindrence to shooting, definat hindrence to my archery hunt.

Nice!

I love my P-89, the only thing I might suggest is a set of houge rubber wrap-around grips. They made it feel like a whole new gun. Amazing the difference.

A great accessory for those 35 rounders would be a Ruger PC9, since it would take the same magazine as your P89.
