There are many threads about many things, often by folks who don’t understand there own question. There are hundreds of threads around the internet asking the proper torque specs for Remington 700, Win 70, Savage 10/12 screws too. Lots of threads by silly folks wanting to complain about one design that is different, without offering any empirical evidence or even theoretical science which proves any weakness in the angled screw design.
It’s unique, so folks talk about it.
After working on literally hundreds of Rugers in the last 20yrs, if your particular Ruger M77 has action screw torque “sensitivity” moreso than other actions, then it has a bedding/inlet problem, a barrel free float problem, a mag box float problem, or excessive torque on the front trigger guard screw.
But it sure sounds good on the internet to complain about it...
