New S&W 610's soon??

Hi, I heard today from a friend that said S&W is going to bring back the 610 in a 5"model. I asked him if it was going to be a performance center gun and he said no. Anybody heard anything like this? I hope this is true, as there are several people hunting for 610's. God Bless Mac

Simply love my older 5" 610. It's the model with the fluted cylinder, and it's as useful revolver as has ever come down the pike!

Heh. Of course it will. Unless something drastic happens, S&W will make all of their guns with locks from now on, just like Taurus does. Ruger is following suit, it would seem.

Anyway, 610s are neat, but I think the N-Frame is overkill for a six-shot 10mm. A 6-shot L-Frame (with a heat-treated unfluted cylinder) would be pretty cool, though. In fact, that'd be the gun to get me into 10mm if any gun would...

It could be true, but I doubt it will have a 5" barrel. S&W builds very few 5" barrel models anymore.
