New Saiga

Picked one up today. 7.62x39mm Soviet caliber, with a 16 inch barrel. Regular sporter stock. Seems like a solid gun. Can't wait to shoot it.

Oh yeah. The store that I bought it from had Brown Bear 7.62x39 at $90 for a case of 500 HP rounds. So look at Show Me Shooters in Claycomo.

The sight tool is cheap. Get one.

Enjoy the new rifle. I'm still in the process of "semi" converting mine and putting in a folding stock and pistol grip, without having to do any surgery on the gun. I'll have to try to post some pics soon too.

my front sight on my AK was way to the left. i tried to center it with the tool, but couldn't get it to budge. now i'm glad i didn't,'cause when i finally got out to the boonies with it, it was dead-on accurate ! i was stoked 'cause i was about ready to (gently) take a hammer to it. i'd take a few shots before screwing with it, you might luck up, too.

To be expected. The mnemonic for sight adjustment is FORS: Front Opposite Rear Same. Adjust the front sight in the opposite direction you want POI to move.

Ahhh that makes sense of course. Here I thought I had a crooked rifle :banghead:
