A nice 60 yard shot.... The short heavy barrel is indeed heavy even at 16 3/4 inches... I like her and will likely get better with it as I go. It is a bit louder than I like but we will see... The shot was to the wood pile... Just dropped :)

My .35 rem w 16.25 tapered bbl was super handy, a bit too handy even.
Had to add some weight to forend to get it to settle down for offhand shooting.
Being .35 rem it was not an ear splitter.
Just looked a little funky overall. If it had an 18.25" bbl I'd have kept it.

Yup, I've a .44 mag destined for a chop... someday .... no shortage of projects that's for sure! I want to do a contender 16 inch sometime but I have less in the whole handi rifle than just a carbine contender barrel runs. Find using the snot outta a handi rifle isn't as bad as one of my good guns either

Yeah, I scored that Super 16 for 150 bucks (barrel).
Shot it a couple yrs and sold it for 100 more than I had in it.

Congrats......... Looks like you're keeping them thinned out. I'm jealous. So far this season I have yet to even point a gun at a 'chuck.
