Congrats on your SP101. They are good all around revolvers. I have a SP101 22LR and I just bought the SP101 357 4 inch. Other than the trigger on my 22 LR being heavy I like the SP101 for size. Fits my small hands well. In the new revolver line the SP101 fits the closest to a K frame S&W. The problem today is in a medium frame revolver new your choice by Ruger or S&W is the large medium frame revolver. Too bulky for me. Ruger and S&W used to make a fine medium frame revolver in the S&W model 19 and the Ruger Security Six. Both of these older revolvers are better overall shooters and carry better.

I'm considering doing something with the front sight to make it easier to see, but I'm not sure what yet.

After we put another 100 rounds or so through it we'll also think about the trigger. Thanks for your suggestions!

Nice! I've had my eyes open for a deal on one, but even before the recent panic buying they seemed to be pretty scarce around here. Only one I found was a nice used one with a bobbed hammer, which I didn't want.

Good job with the monogrips. In my hand, no gun has ever balanced so well as a 3" SP101 with a Hogue Monogrip.
