Hi i just got my reloader yestoday and i am confused if i should clean my cases then deprime and size or deprime and size then clean. i would appreciate it if u could help me out on this.

There are those who do it each way.

I size & deprime and then clean. The reason is that I use the tumbler to remove the case lube. Of course, if you're reloading straight walled cases with carbide dies (unless very long like the 458 Lott), you don't need lube. Also, if you use Imperial Sizing Wax to lube your cases, you'll make much less of a mess.

I tumble my brass first, then de-prime/re-size. Why? I don't like running dirty brass through my dies.

Also keep in mind, with that said, that it's not a bad idea to occasionally clean your dies. You'll be surprised how dirty they will get.

Welcome to the world of reloading. I've been reloading for over twenty years now and have never looked back. It's great relaxation time for me as well as cost-efficient.

I also clean first then decap because the stuff will get in the primer holes. This way if there is stuff in the hole it will get punched out with the primer.

After reading the lead poisoning post I changed to depriming first with a Lee Universal Depriming die that costs about $8-12. Then I clean. The lead poisoning post suggests this reduces lead dust that occurs when tumbling primed cases. I use Walnut sheel and haven't had a problem with media in my cases, but I have only done this with .45 ACP, .38 Special, and .357 Magnum cases.

Good luck and welcome to reloading.
