New York hunters

I should have ti.e tomorrow to take a picture of it. I have one in 357 magnum as well.
I just picked up another 200 pieces of new 44 magnum brass for $30 about half an hour ago and a set of unused Hornady 300 Blackout dies.
I have a completed 80% AR lower and was thinking of putting a fifteen inch 300 Blackout upper on it.
I might just buy a bolt action or a single shot in 300 blackout.

Here is a little Ruger 77 porn.

1st on left is my old deer killing machine.
A Remington 788 in 243. I must of killed forty plus deer with it in New Yorkistan and Pennsylvania.

2nd on left it a stainless Ruger 77/223.
I got a hell of a deal on this one. I stopped by cabelas to.pick up a pound of powder on a Saturday and this was on the used gun rack for $349.99.
HAD TO BUY IT.

The next is a Ruger 77/22 Hornet. Bought it about thirty-five years ago to shoot a deer in Pensylvania (any center-fire rifle). I shot a four point buch with it that deer season and haven't shot it since.
I did buy some primed 22 Hornet brass so I can shoot it with my grandson.

Next up is a Ruger 77/357mag. Only one I ever seen for sale fot $725.00. Went home grabed the cash and bought it just because I could. . I haven't played with it much. A couple of years a go I loaded up some ammo for it and sighted it in.

The next one is the new 77/44mag. I got a some what decent deal off of gun broker. $586.59 and $50 shipping, $15 transfer. But I wanted it and I need a new gun fix every couple of months.
I need to buy a scope for it ans get serious with these Rugers.

I have a Ruger 77/22mag in a gun case in the other room. Didn't feel like digging for it.
Plus I took the Ruger 77/25-06 in for a loan to buy the Ruger 77/44mag.
And I have a stainless Ruger 77/22lr comeing here soon.

i like the Ruger 77 line of rifles.

That 77 I picked up is 25/06 not 22-250. Sorry about the mistake. I just picked up a new 3'9 Leupold scope for it and it came in the mail today.
Just mounted it on the gun. I have some ammo to get it sighted in, once I see what's what I will load up some ladder loads and see where that goes.

That 22-250 Interarms I bought is a nice looking gun. I found some brass for it $20 for a hundred pieces. I will load them up and see where that goes.
If they both shoot good I think these will be my New York deer hunting guns for next deer season.

Nice pat, I did some more work on my Argentine mauser in 7x57ai, the last few weeks.I reamed out the neck so factory ammo should work fine now, still have to shoot it hope it's still a tack driver. If so I my try to buy those does off patocazador if he still will part with them.

The stock never seemed finished so I stippled the grip and forend, came out very nice and makes it look complete. Add some grip but not to much. Hard to see with my bad camera the nice border line.

I have about 6 guns I'd like to take out next season lol. be nice to have them guns for hunting here, little more classic.

That is nice wood on that gun. I like the grain pattern. I have a old Remington 700 in 222 Remington that has nice wood on it. I bought that gun over forty years ago at Philadelphia Sales Store on Clinton Street in Binghamton. I killed a ton of woodchucks with that rifle and several deer as well.

Think it's Carlo walnut, feels dense like French walnut. 222 is a great round one of my favorites.

I have a Ruger 77 in .25-06 with a fluted bull barrel. 100 gr. to 115 gr. bullets all shoot great. IMR 4831 is the drug of choice.

I had a Ruger 77---------- 25/06 that I bought new in 1996, leupold scope blue with walnut stock. That got stollen along with four revolvers.
I really loved that gun. I bought this one to replace that one.
I bought a 77 in 22-250 tang safety with the bull barrel & put a redfield 6x18 on it. I gave that to my oldest son.
I bought another one, same gun and gave that to my 2nd son quit a few years ago.
So a few years ago I bought a Winchester model 70 in 22=250 with a bull barrel. I just bought a scope to put on it and try it out.
Then i just bought that Interarms 22-250 to try out too.

I love making ladder loads up for rifles and see what they like. I take my time shooting these ladder loads while my grandson shoots the handguns.

That's where I bought my first reloader and supplies to load 12 ga shotgun shells.

My grandson was over last night, he certainly at about 6:00 and wanted to go to the range. I told him it was too late in the day to load up all my Huns and gear then drive to the range. Do we went fishing instead. We didn't catch anything but we had fun.

Saw my first 'chuck of the year yesterday. They have been getting real scarce the last few years. Perhaps this year they are in self quarantine mode. It was about 125 yards out back and I may stick a trail cam down there and see if I can get a "shot". That's the only way I shoot 'chucks nowadays since they got so few and far between.

I saw 4 more as well as the one I shot in the neighbors yard and recovering lot behind the house. Couldn't get a shot at any of those but still trying.

One time years ago I seen a woodchuck up in a tree over on RT 79 between Ouaquaga and Center Village.
It has been a long time since I shot a woodchuck. We don't have them out here. When I lived back there I usevto shoot them down in the Town of Binghamton, up in Harpusville, Afton, Itaska Nd a few other places.
They sure are fun to hunt.

Sounds fun but I am down in Orange county right now. I could go for some chicken. I still did not get my license, money's real tight. But maybe I can get one for a area up there. Or I'll just shoot a doe down here and save the buck tag for up there, unless I see a monster lol.
If you’re ever up near Rochester my folks have land in 8H. 8H is like a secret gem for deer hunting and most people get max tags. Let me know and we’ll have you out.

The closes I get is going up to salmon river, thanks for the offer is like that, if I ever get over that way I'd let you know. I've Hurd it's good there and the spot South East from buffalo. We have lots of deer here but hard to get land to hunt it.
