Newbie searching for info on BOB...

I'm sure this has been asked countless times before, but I'm looking for good info, be it book or website, on putting together a good bugout bag/vehicle/spaceship. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. My wife thinks that I've become a bit paranoid since I've joined THR. Good job guys!

www.equipped.org is the best I can think of. There are some sites such as frugal squirrels that may be more SHTF oriented than THR but you will find some good advice here.

They're more about wilderness survival but it's still a very very good site. I just keep a few items in my vehicle and some smaller items with me. I spend most of my life 100 yds from my vehicle and 10 miles from home so I don't plan on roughing it.

I am wondering if you live in a city or woods because to me that would make a huge difference as to what I put in my bag.

On the other hand I always carry a butane lighter ( the cheap kind ) a flash light, and a derringer in mine, you might also want to carry any perscriptions be it your or a child if blessed with one, you never can tell what your going to need when the time come to be ready.
