Alright. This is a long shot but here goes...

I am looking for an AR15 charging handle that has a handle like a side charger... but on the right side of the gun.

I am a left handed long gun shooter, and my beloved AR45 does not hold open on the last round, so after each reload (on empty) i have to rack the slide.

I was honestly thinking about putting a pin and an extension lever on an ambi charge handle to extend handle out to just in front (and above, of course) of the ejection port.

Similar to the "hard charger" adapter, but on the other side.

Ideas? Thoughts?

if I had a mill or made a gig for the lathe I think you could just get a cheap right hand upper. Then just mill the same slot on the left side, drill and tape the bcg and be done. Starting with a right hand side charge would be even easyier.

So they exist... but I can't afford it LOL

Thanks LW!
Yeah that ones ouchy.....I wonder if you could take a right side charging bolt carrier and put a left hand bolt in it, then mill out a slot on the right side of the receiver for the handle to ride in. It wouldnt be non reciprocating but the handle would be on your non dominate side.

I found the Devil Dog concepts "hard charger". Seems to me, a handle could be adapted, but I am unsure of the longevity/reliability of adapting that.
