RustyFN, I'm a little freaked out about pulling the trigger for the first time on one of my loads. Anyone else here feel some aprehension shooting your first reloads?

Oh yes. For that first round I was pretty anal about following the procedure and data in the Lyman manual strictly. You still don't know, until you pull the trigger.

xsquidgator, I'm taking my wife on a date to the indoor range tomorrow morning. I hope to generate a fair amount of 9mm brass!

Oh yes, I was nervous the first time and I suspect every reloader is the first time. That's part of what makes success so sweet, you go actually shoot them, they work just fine, and after that there's just no stopping this new hobby.

Your loads are probably fine if you were as careful as you say you were. One thing I did slightly differently (other than I started with pistol) was I did my very first loads with 38 special but fired them in a 357 magnum, figuring that would give me extra margin for error in case I messed up. Also, being for revolver, the OAL was much less important than it can be in a semi-auto. Since I started with 90% of the recommended load, my first rounds were pretty tame and I need not have worried. But like Lee N Field says, you don't know until you actually go shoot them.
