SKS bayonets vary by country. Chinese SKS bayonets are of the spike design. Be aware that attaching a bayonet to your Norinco SKS may be illegal b/c of Import restrictions.

Here you go. Check the laws regarding putting one on before doing it though.

Good advise . simply putting a sticker on the end could make you a felon under 922 . The problem is not that you shouldnt do it , the problem is as to just what date your serial no falls under . Now not that anyone is likely to check YOUR sks assuming you dont live in Cali or similar states . It still is your job to stay legal , and if you put a bayonet on a rifle that does not have one you MAY also need to make other changes using US made parts in order to be legal . I wont list such mods here but it is easily found on such forums as falfiles.com ect. A poster above tho is likely right in that your norinco sks likely started service with a " spike " However i have two that have blades , and they are easy to tell , they show a " dremil " cut that shows new metal and the blade does not go to the end of the channel in the stock . This may be an importer thing tho , and i own several sks rifles from norinco . most of them still in the original wood packing .

Earlier Chinese had blade bayonets...spike is more common....when import restrictions on the later Chinese guns said "no bayonets", the bayonets were just sold independently....further regs in reaction to that fact had bayonet lugs removed....they'd have to try to build a database from records of bunches of importers that don't even exist anymore in order to try to prove pre-bayonet or post-bayonet....good luck to them in trying to get the PRC to give out SN info....don't worry about a bayonet if the gun is equipped to mount one.
