Went to a gun show last weekend looking to check out a particular handgun (HK P2000SK). The one dealer I'd hoped to be there that would have one wasn't there. There's no more shows around here 'til next year. The only shop nearby that will have these is overpriced and an hour away.
I've got the $ on hand to buy one but now I'm wondering if I should just wait until next year and see what comes out at SHOT '05. By then I'll have a bit more $ to spend.

Buy before then or wait?

Buy now, no telling what will come up as a better use for the money. I just spent my gun stash on the Marine Corps. Ball and must begin collecting quarters yet again.

By the time the amount is enough to go shopping, the whiz bangers and thundersticks will have increased in price.

Buy now, it's easier to be broke WITH a gun rather than broke WITHOUT a gun.

Given the current state of affairs in both the world and your personal life, that's something only you can make. For me, I'm highly cautious of the implications of that Democrat JK getting elected.

I'd also check out gunbroker.com to see if you can find a P2000 within your price range.
