I am loading for a .380 Ruger LCP, using 90 Grain Hornady XTP bullets. My loading manual list an OAL of .925 for the Serra 90 grain JHP. I am wanting to duplicate the Hornady factory loaded XTP round.

Can anyone with a Hornady manual tell me what they recommend or if you have some of the XTP factory 90 grains measure the OAL.

Thanks in advance.

My Hornady manual says .965".

Be sure you take the barrel out of your gun and 'Plunk Test' it at that length to insure it is not hitting the rifling.

If I am loading to duplicate a factory round what I do is take my calibers to the gun shop and measure the factory loaded round. I will say that you may get some funny looks now and then, but you will find out what the factory loads theirs at.
