I have not noticed that anyone has caught on to the 180 degree spin Obama has on firearms control. When asked about the Heller case Obama always says " To take the control away from the communities is unthinkable, local communities will have the best ideas on how to keep their people safe." On the other hand, for a complete 180 with a twist we have Obama calling for a renewal of the AWB which, correct me if I am wrong, is Federal control over the locals and a desire to ban CCW at the national level. So, The Question for Obama, and I wish I could ask it is, "Who, in his opinion, should have the control, local communities or the federales? He seems to want it both ways.

Obama's position is very simple and easy to understand...

You have a constitutional right to own a firearm...

So long as it's of a kind I approve of, and you obtain and use it it under the condidions I dictate.

We call this, "reasonable restrictions."  :banghead:

Obama's position has been clear and consistent from the beginning:
"Keep political discussion out of THR!"
When asked in an interview his response is always the same: "I think that political discussion should take place in the APS forum."
I for one agree with him on those items.

"I think that political discussion should take place in the APS forum."

You may or may not be right but if you are, a moderator will soon come along and close or move the thread. A lot depends on how the discussion is going.

Until then the thread is open for posts... ;)

As I see it, BHO, has made enough statments regarding MANY things for me to know ALL I need to know about him.

For me, that ends any need to really discuss him here or anywhere else. Anytime I have mentioned him, I find myself "Preaching to the Choir."

But what do I know... I am just a "Typical White Person" who "clings to his guns and religion" out in the sticks.

But remember.... BHO isn't that bad-- Once you "disown" his views and beliefs. Afterall, Hitler wasn't all that bad-- once you "disown" that nasty little bit of genocide against an entire race, war of aggression, utter insanity, and generally being a demonic SOB.

"Disowning" things is fun-- once you "disown" how idiotic it is. :)

There...I'm done.... running away from the political discussion now.

Obama was a director of the Joyce Foundation, voted against even COMPASSIONATE measures if they had some modicom of positve spin on guns... The 90's case of a guy that used a handgun in Illinois comes to mind. The town outlawed handguns, he had one in a safe, someone broke in (for the 2nd time) he shot got arrested. It is outlined by Wayne LaPierre in this months American Rifleman.
