I'm looking for this for my buddy, it goes in an old Marlin lever action that can hold either a rimfire or centerfire .32 caliber cartridge. Does anyone have any idea what the gun is or what (and where can I find) the ammunition is?

Probably Marlin model 1892. Is there any marking on the barrel? Looks like it will shoot .32 Short and Long Centerfire or Rimfire. Cool! What a piece! I am checking on ammo now for you.

Sounds about right, we had determined it was likely an 1892, but had never heard of such a thing (I've only heard of 94's and 95's).

According to Cartridges of the World, MOST guns chambered for 32 Long CF will also safely fire 32 S&W Long, which I know is readily available many places, and is pretty cheap. Anyone know if they work in the 1892? Might be worth looking into, as 32 Long CF looks to be long obsolete and pretty much a collectors cartridge now, which means if you do find any, it will be aweful pricey.
