I've recently acquired two old pistols, and I need spare magazines for both, because if I can't actively shoot them, there is no reason in owning them. The first pistol is the old Franz Stock .32 My father has taken over. It came with one(possibly factory) magazine, and from what my research suggests, I don't think I'll be finding any more of those any time soon. I found another Franz Stock on an auction website(closed auction), and it had a Colt .32 Auto mag in it, and the seller said that it seemed to operate just fine with it. So, I'm asking, is there any other make of pistol out there that would have the same dimensions as this pistol's mag well? It has a heel-mounted mag release, so the mag release isn't an issue, it holds it in by the floorplate. It's a real shot in the dark(bad pun) I know, but I figured you guys would have some experience.

The next pistol I'm asking about is my SAGEM 1935S M1. Running joke in my house is it's never been fired and only dropped once. In seriousness, the fit, finish, and feel of this gun has left me rather impressed, and I only hope to be further impressed with it once my ammunition for it arrives. Can you guys offer up a good website that offers Mil-Surplus magazines? I know from my research that the French used this pistol from 1935 until 1960, with my particular pistol being produced from 1947-1953. I hope that there are enough pistols left in this world to make a demand for magazines for it. I'd rather not be stuck up scat creek in the mag department like he is.

As always, help is appreciated.

um try numrichs (egunparts.com)
and if a .32 colt works, mayby a browning will too, there are a number of older mags that are *close enough*

It fits the description, yes, and the price is hard to complain about, since mags for my Taurus cost more than that. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

We picked up a mag for a FN/Browning .32 Auto to see if it would work, and it looks strikingly identical....

....until you line them up side to side and you see that the Franz Stock magazine is about 1/4" taller and about 1/32" thinner. >_< Oh well. Better luck next time. One of the joys of enjoying old iron.

That's actually a bit cheaper than I've seen. Thanks for the help, Now if only I could find some spare mags for that little german .32. That one is proving to be almost impossible to find.
