Time to go old school. We have done several challenges this year this is just about the end, there will be one more coming in the revolver section and in rifle section in the next few days then I'm done starting the challenges for a while. Just in time to roll in December and Christmas and look toward a new year.

THE RULES

You will fire 10 shots onto the approved target listed which for this challenge will be a B-16 25 yd slow fire target for both the 10 yd and 15 yd classes. Scoring will be scored by adding up the score for all 10 shots. A shot touching a line counts as the next numbering up. For instance if a shot touches the line separating the 7 and 8 the score is a 8. A X counts as 10 points.

The target used will be a B-16 25 yd slow fire target as is the match is slow fire. You can download the target and make copies online although however I downloaded it on a standard printer paper 8.5 x 11 inch paper, see example photo attached at bottom the target which is slightly smaller than standard targets that are bought or ordered and the printed ones cut out part of the 5 ring so it's best to buy some if you can. You may use any color target or put a sticker in the center X circle if you want to help aiming as long as it fits correct. See the three sample targets in the photo whatever B-16 target you get it has to have a X ring there are some available that just use orange for the whole ten ring and that can't be used

Firearm must be held one handed, no rests, no benching

Allowed firearms, is anything you want there will be no separate classes for optics or not

There will be four classifications.

Class 1, 10 shots at 10 yds RIMFIRE
Class 2, 10 shots at 10 yds, CENTERFIRE cartridge or BLACKPOWDER
Class 3, 10 shots at 15 yds RIMFIRE
Class 4, 10 shots at 15 yds CENTERFIRE cartridge or BLACKPOWDER

Please include with the target submission

username
classification entered class 1, 2 , 3 or 4
score
firearm
ammunition

then take a pic of it and post it here, if you would post a pic of the firearm used as well.

You may submit as many targets as you wish provided it was shot with a different firearm. One target submission per firearm is allowed within the class . You can take as many tries that you want BEFORE you post your target but only post the target you want to submit for the final submission to the challenge.

If you have a family member or friend that wants to enter they can using your user name and firearm just make notes when posting.

The cutoff date for submissions is November 30 2019

Please submit targets even if you don't think they'll win as the information on how well what shoots may be valuable to other members

Good luck and good shooting

Any questions such as how to post pics or qualifying firearms, or links to possible target downloads please feel free to ask

Oy... this is going to suck :)
Come now I'm sure you will score fine. I personally am not going to drag out every gun I have most have been used in one challenge or the other already, just gonna select three or four I feel most comfortable with and put up some entries.

Yep, time to pick the cream of the crop.
Are single shots such as the TC Contender allowed?

PS: I'm sure glad I bought a whole pack of those targets! :)

yet another PS: just for grins & giggles I drug out my 8" Dan Wesson 44 mag.
it was all I could do to hold it up for one or two shots, so I guess that one is out....

No, this will be wonderful! :D

Time to refresh my one handed bullseye shooting techniques ... Dang, should have taken better notes when my bullseye match shooting mentor was teaching me to shoot groups at 25/50 yards ... 25 years ago ...

1KPerDay, here's current discussion on trigger control and some help/tips for more precise/bullseye shooting (Note "surprise break") which this latest challenge requires - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/trigger-control.834737/page-2#post-11245640

Any handgun you want to enter within the classes

No, but you might want to add a 25 yard class

What I did consider is classes separate for with optics, however given the short distances of 10 and 15 yards and being one handed I didn't think having a optic would make much of a difference. The challenge being for whatever gun a member wants to try with, so we will leave as is.
