Ukraine,

I just call the mall info desk and ask them for the "Outdoor" show schedule. They usually know at least 2 months in advance.

btw. I'm in BG as well. Are you a student or ??. If you want to shoot sometime, I think there are a few other THR members here as well. Maybe we should get a BG THR shoot together.

I'm a student at Kettering U in Flint, MI but I co-op in Fostoria. I've been living in Fostoria for my first four work terms but the locals were starting to get to me and after my roommate and I both had our cars broken into we decided to get a place in BG starting this January.

A THR shoot would be cool. Where are some places to shoot around there? So far I've only been to a guy's house from work who has a range set up on his farm.

For indoor range time there is only Cleland's up on Airport Highway outside of Toledo. For outdoors, one of my friends has some property just outside of town and lets me shoot there. I'd have to explore the posibility of inviting folks he isn't familiar with out there. So far, its just been people from church.

You wouldn't happen to be at the spark plug plant in Fostoria would you?

The law firm my wife used to work for got quite a bit of public defender work from Fostoria--so I'm familiar with the environment.

Have you tried going to the magazine section of your local (large change) grocery store and picking up or looking through a Gun List?

If you take 75 from BG down to Allen County (Lima), there is a gun show at the fairgrounds there the first full weekend of every month (EDIT: during the winter months. Starts in October, not sure when the last one is). Word of warning, though: I thought it sucked. Bunch of shotguns and black powder crap. There WERE a couple cool things when I went, like an IH M1 Garand that I could have gotten but would have depleted all the money I brought with me. There were also some GI M1 carbines, and a bunch of pistols. Probably the best part of that show is the ammo and private sales. It might be worth going to for those. One of the guys I work with picked up SA 7.62x51mm ammo for $22 per battle pack, out the door, which is less than what I can order them for after paying shipping.

Also, check these sites out:

I wish that I had a job where I got weekends off, so I could actually go to a show without burning a vacation day.

You could try checking the links in my sig line. I'll be adding 2004 events during my time off for Christmas. Scan the past months listings and let me know of any I've missed. Send along links and contact info for shoots and shows I've missed. I will add them as I can confirm them. Thanks.
