Old news or new? Remington moving to Alabama.

Don't know if this has been discussed on here before but my brother just sent me an email stating that on Monday the Governor of Alabama and officials from Remington are going to announce the move.

I think there has been a previous thread. I got the impression that they were expanding production in a new plant, at least for the time being, rather then moving out all the operations in New York.

But the fact that they are not expanding operations in New York while they still have available space should send a strong hint to the government that passing anti-gun laws can have economic consequences. I doubt they care, but of course the communities that will be hurt will. The ultimate outcome should be interesting.

Thanks for checking. I couldn't get the search function to work on my phone. The article mentioned creating 2000 new jobs in Alabama so that's good news for them and good riddance to New York.
