I am looking to possibly purchase a Charter Arms .44 Bulldog. In some of the posts I have read, folks say that the new Charter 2000 Bulldogs are decent guns. In other posts people say to avoid the new ones and stick with the older models. Everyone seems to agree that the Charco should be avoided. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I really like my 1st generation bulldog,i had
looked at a few Charter 2000 made guns
but didn't really care for them.

I know the prices are going up on the early
models,a SS 44spl bulldog sold on auction
arms for over 375.00 dollars.

I got lucky and found a new looking early
bulldog at a local shop for 150.00 dollars,
it's still tight after 1000 rounds and shoot
very well out to 20 yards.

My Bulldog (short barrel) is more accurate than it has any right being. It runs flawlessly except when I use CCI Blazer .44spl. All other ammunition tested and it runs like a clock.

I forgot to mention that my Charter Arms .44 Bulldog is 2006 production.
