Old primers

I have a lot of old ammo I inherited from my relatives and father. It's rifle and pistol ammo both from the 1940s and up. The primers I'm not worried about, powder is a different story.
I would have to knock some of them apart to do a scratch and sniff on them before ever considering shooting them.
Some of the old pistol ammo from the 40s used domed primers and I can't find any info on them except the ammo manufacturers quit using domes primers sometime in the 50s they disappeared and the flat primers were then used.

Are the primers in either of the boxes you have pictured domed primers? I have one box of yellow and blue Western ammo, same color scheeme as your primers, that has flat primers and one box that has domed.

I would be leary of domed primers because I don't know when the mercuric primers were discontinued. Mercuric primers won't eat your barrel out, the debris just absorbs water and makes the metal rust if you don't clean it every time you shoot them.

The pic I posted on the mold handle may not have been correct. This is it is this a single mold handle?

Looks like you got the stash of an old muzzleloader enthusiast. Give us pics of the molds. Might be an excuse to buy a muzzleloader, which I find are a hoot to shoot.

What do you normally shoot? Can suggest molds and give you some advice on how to make some bullets. Even if this is not your cup of tea, it is awfully nice to be able to make your own when the inevitable panic/shortage rolls around.
