One and only handgun

I'd go with my Kimber Custom Classic, add the Colt Service Ace conversion kit, and put in the 28-lb Wolff spring when I wanted to shoot .45 Super. That would cover the full spectrum of handgun use -- from .22 plinking to self defense, to hunting.

Only one? I think not.

Different jobs require different tools. Still, a good .357 revolver is pretty flexible.

I'd be hard pressed to give up a 1911, though.

I would go with a 1911. I would have to have a .22 conversion kit and a 10mm barrel and slide. That would cover most everything I think :D

A 4"bbl adjustable sights .357 revolver. (GP100)

Hmmm--maybe GP stands for General Purpose... :D

If you think you might ever hunt with a handgun, you probably want to go with a .357 or a 10mm.

I don't know much about handguns, but I guess a vanilla .357 is about as general purpose as you'd want.

If I was a troublemaker though, I'd want a USP Tactical 45, but only if it came with those 12 rd mags. I see that as like the ultimate combat type pistol, as long as it wasn't going to be bear combat  But like I said I don't know much about handguns.

Mine would be a 1911 .45 ACP!

If I was living in an urban setting in that sad time, I'd have to pick my Colt CCO and hope I can keep my .22 conversion unit.
If I was lucky enough to be in a rural setting, then my Government model gets the nod with the hopeful addition of a .460 Rowland conversion barrel and Marvel .22 conversion too.
No conversion unit's? Still a 1911 .45 ACP and a Dillion Square B.

one handgun only?

I guess my one handgun if somehow I was only allowed to have one :( would probably be the one I am going to purchase next, a .357 mag revolver with a 4" barrel. Hard to beat the good old .357 mag for most situations.

One gun to do it all: range, house gun and CCW, a three inch .357. My first choice would be a Smith M65 or its blued equivilent, the M13. A 3" Ruger GP100 would do also.

Sorry. I'll never have one and only one handgun.

Case in point - my usual carry gun is a Kahr PM9, and Kahr has issued a safety recall.

So the barrel of my Kahr has been shipped off for rework, and I'm carrying something else.

"One and only one" is a really stupid idea. Always have spare.

Limited to one????? hhhhhhmmmm

I guess I'd have to go with a .44 mag-----generally loaded with .44 Specials----but having the ability for magnum power if needed.

Currently have a 629 Classic with 5in tube-----probably would go shorter if it was all I could have.

I like my Ruger SP101 in .357. I will keep that as long as I live. I love it. It does all I need it to do. I would love more than one, but since the requirements are one and only one. I like my Ruger.

If I could only have one, it would be a 4 in. S & W 686. It would be the most verstile for a variety of roles.
