Used but not abused Ruger Super Redhawk was sitting on consignment at the local store. The price? $349 on the sticker. OK, what's the catch? No box. Some finish wear. Did have a UM Sidekick and still had the scope rings.
Checked the lockup and cylinder and they seemed fine. Asked my good friend behind the counter why the guy was selling.
"He said it was too expensive to feed. Aparently no one told him he could shoot .45 Colt in it."
My response "Of course, since it's written right here on the cylinder."
He had shot it and hadn't cleaned it up yet, which he appoligized for, but it told me the gun worked.
Tried the trigger. Very smooth. Single action, just about perfect. It has obviously been worked on.
I had him hold it while I ran home and got the checkbook. Man, house payment might be late this month what with me buying TWO revolvers I can't afford (2nd one still in the works). Ah well, the poor Taurus .357 needed some company.
