BTW- a question, how did you find out about that, I hope you didn't try it on some one

No, I didn't try it on anyone. Although, I can think of a few people who I might like to zap a little. :what:

One of the members here helps with the editing and he did some research for me. Compared to some of the things he told me, Gunny went real easy on Jon.

Thanks for the interest.

For those folks that don't think 24 or 48 Volts DC can give you a "blast", try this...

Rinse mouth well with salt water, then apply the terminals of a fresh 9 volt battery to tongue. You will be surprised.

I have gotten my "battery charged" while working on a phone line, and a call came in....ZAPPPP!

p.s. A small 'poke in the ribs' here, Halffast. Chapter 74 ? ? ? Have greatly enjoyed Light Out! so far.

Ringing voltage on phone lines is definitely enough to ring your chimes... :neener:

Field phones are fun to play with...until the other folks decide to play back.

I heard a rumor that 74 was completed and up at Frugal's...

NMShooter, that was a low down dirty trick :scrutiny: . Chapter 74 is not posted on the Frugal Squirrels site.

I hadn't read anything since about chapter 50, so I started over last night and read all the way through. I'm more impressed than ever.

Its really obvious that you are improving as an author. The later chapters are way way more polished than the first 10 or 20. Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks, Scott. I feel that I have improved over the three years that I have been writing, but it's very nice to hear it from a reader. I go back and read the first 20 chapters or so and I can't beleive how bad they are. I can't wait to go back and rewrite them. But, I have to get the last chapters finished first. Thanks again.

@#$%!&*!

David, don't you know how depressed I get when I see the Online Fiction thread bumped, and your name listed as last poster, and it turns out that it's not a new chapter?

Where's my medication...

I agree with Scott, you can definitely tell how your writing has become more and more polished with each new release. I am about half-way through, and look forward to each new chapter. Keep up the great work. I would recommend this to anyone that is checking this thread out.

that book is so amazing. im just waiting for the 73+ chapters to come out. i read it while im supposed to be working at college. now what am I supposed to do...learn!?!?! :barf: haha

Greetings!!

I just found this forum as I was looking around to find out what the deal was to new chapters of LightsOut. I have only read the last day or two (didnt go read the many many pages devoted to the book) and I reckon we are all in the same boat.

I was turned on to the book from SigForum- a few people posted about the similarities to the aftermath of Katrina. So I started to read it. As I was getting close to the end, I was wondering how HalfFast was going to finish it? Was it going t be a Wizard of Oz type dream, was the power going to come back on and everything would be hunkey dorey?

NO!! IT's worse (or better!!) than that!! It ends and I dont have anymore to read until a new chapter is published!! I guess I will keep checking back here!!

REALLY enjoyed the book and looking forward to future installments!!

Posted by Halffast on the Frugal Forums: "The next post for Lights Out will be the last. It will contain the last two chapters and the epilogue."

Can't wait!!! :D

It takes a bit to wrap up a book...I've been working on my ending for almost two months now.

David...you're doing an excellent job! Take your time and make it rock!

Good news and bad news. The good news is that I'm getting very close to being done. The bad news is that most of next week, I'm going to be out of town with no computer or internet access. I am very excited about posting the ending. It is hard for me to believe that I am almost done. I can't begin to express my gratitude to those of you that have encouraged me. I hope the ending lives up to your expectations.

David

I have to say well done... I've been so into this novel of yours I've neglected both food and work for the past week...

And WHAT a cliffhanger... I hope you publish the ending soon...
