only like to open carry at gun range or privater property. a guy at my gun store bought a pistol and went to a store where a man watched him take the gun from dash to under seat and stole his gun while in store then the man came out and confronted him about steeling his gun so man pulled out gun and shot him with his own gun. if gun was concealed noone is a wiser.i like carrying concealed because nobody eles knows or has to know or need to know in my 2 cents

I don't understand, he leaves his gun on his dashboard? He wasn't concealing it on his person? Down here, anywhere in the vehicle is considered concealed, but I don't think it'd be much good on the dashboard. I keep mine between the seats in my Grand Marquis, and with the armrests down you'd never know it was there, even if you were sitting in the passenger seat.

While I used to CC exclusively, then OC exclusively, I've now found a happy medium. Places like the movie theater, I CC, places like the grocery store, I OC. My OC holster rides high enough that if I need to conceal all I have to do is pull my T-shirt over it.

A group of activists recently decided to "exercise" their right to carry openly by doing so and going into business establishments in two nearby communities.

Results so far: an emergency council session in one, which passed a ban that was effective immediately, and a similar ordinance in the other that will come up for vote at the next regular session and that will certainly pass.

Concealed carriers whom I know are extremely irritated at the actions of these guys. Concealed carry is still overwhelmingly opposed by most people here, but we've been getting along fine with it for some years now. There is concern that these actions will get CC eliminated.
I think you hit the nail on the head
