IMI - Israel Military Nato rounds - .556. I've seen bullets for sale on ebay for what seam to be a good price and my speer #13 book uses IMI brass for the .223 loading data. Anyone know what this is all about? I'm considering buying the stuff on ebay if I can confirm it's real and new, and not pulled bullets from ss109.

Thanks.

IMI mades/makes a lot of .223 components and rounds

We got a lot of winchester .223 Q load in on contract several years ago and the boxes were stamped Made in Israel

IMI brass loads good and is consistent.

Wideners.com has had IMI stuff in the past, but I think that the current scare has dried up all of their .223 stuff

About 15 years ago I bought 16,000 IMI 55 grain .223 bullets at $32.00 per thousand, delivered. I'm still loading them and they shoot just like any other 55 grain bullet in that size. I've used them mostly for my AR-15's and AR-180 for blasting and informal paper punching. They are consistant in weight and diameter, which is about all you can ask of a FMJ bullet designed for military use. I've been happy with them.

Hope this helps.

Fred
