If they have it, go for it. Not a bad deal these days. Nothing special, but better than some reports of prices lately.

Nope, out of stock. ;)

How much was this one a few days ago? Anybody know?

Or this Bushy that started at $900!!

i agree go for it, i have owned 2 bushmasters, and they are good to go in my book. i have shot/trained with/used many many bushmaster ar's of different varieties, and i couldn't be happier.

If they have it in stock and at that price of $880 for individuals it's not a *bad* thing. Not my first choice, but in the current market beggars can't be choosers.

i wouldnt be surprised if you find a lot of folks saying the online prices arent any good anymore.

as far as bushmaster goes, great rifles. cant beatem for the price.

The web site says they are out of stock but are taking orders and will fill the orders as they stack up. They could wait 10 to 16 weeks or more if the order was placed today. Depending on where you are in line, you could wait longer. I know that DPMS is on a 10 to 16 week delay cuz I have a few on order. I imagine Bushy is about the same.

I own one like it, except it has the 16" Heavy Barrel instead of the stepped
one. Wish I had time to put more rounds through it. Not a great fan of
this platform, but own it because I can:neener: Wish I had bought more
magpul magazines for it, but even used stuff hard to find:fire:

"For like $250 more you could have an LMT carbine. Which is a superior rifle."
Huh??? Oh .... "THE CHART"Yeah! Yeah! "THE CHART."
Won't ,at all say that LMT doesn't make an excellent rifle..But...So does Bushmaster..
And $250 will buy a lot of loading components or ammo..

"get an AK first. An AR is a dissappointment by comparison."
I'll assume you don't do much,or anything, in the way of maintenance?

The word "Texas" and having the Texas Star stamped on the rifle makes it worth hundreds more!

I have a non "Texas" Bushmaster and I am very happy with it.

I'll assume you don't do much,or anything, in the way of maintenance?

No, that's not it,.. it's that I ONLY buy and shoot cheapo ammo, and the AR is very finicky. It is the only gun I have that has any problem digesting it. And I do mean ONLY. All of my other pistols, rifles and shotguns don't have any problem at all with anything I feed them, but the AR doesn't like softpoints, or poly coated ammo. Jams and stuck cartridges galore. I would much rather shoot a gun that fires every time I pull the trigger, regardless whether or not it's eating premium or steel cased ammo.

AR is a big thumbs down from me. Not a powerful enough cartridge, not enough taper for reliable ejection, and not a smooth enough ramp/throat to work with softpoints.:(

I love my other guns though. :)
