im looking for a leather holster for my lw champion 4". anyone have any suggestions for a decent price and good turn around.

I just picked this up at a really low price for the quality.
Its in stock and shipped immediately and im just waiting on it to arrive.
I mainly bought it for my 5" as ive read its pretty heavy duty leather and could be a bit bulky, But that sounds perfect too me.
I just seen its on back order so id wait.

I order this for my 3.5" officers 1911
Colt .45 1911*** barely there leather holster black
$33 shipped, Also look at that member other holsters and they have ones with fuller coverage for just a few bucks more. It seems they are a small shop and make them themselves and not some factory rush job outside the USA made by 11 year olds.

ive been looking at the bianchi model 82. i dont really care for the thumbstrap on most and i would rather not have the barrel stick out of the bottom. i dont know if the bianchi can make it for a 4" or does it come just for a 5"?

Don Hume is fairly well respected in the inexpensive leather category.

They are available from Top Gun Supply and several other retailers.

The Simply Rugged Cuda has a good reputation, is fairly inexpensive and ships fairly quickly.

My first holster was the El Paso Saddlery "High Slide". It is similar to the linked El Paso holster, just without the thumb snap. It is well made. The problem with the open bottom holsters that expose the slide is that I often caught the front sight on the bottom of the holster during the draw and I always catch some seam on my jeans when reholstering. I have torn a hole in my jeans where the right back pocket attaches to pants. It is also possible to catch the muzzle on something when sitting and have the pistol pushed out of the holster.
