Bought some gold dot JHP for my XDm 9mm and when I got home noticed they were +P.

Any issue shooting +P's in my 9mm?

No.

It is/was a military / police duty design and it will handle +P till the cows come home just fine.

If you can find time to read the owners manual, it probably says as much.

FYI, the manual says nothing about ammo......in fact none of my gun manuals say anything about ammo except "Ensure that you are using the proper caliber ammunition" and that "Using reloaded ammunition may void warranty".

I wish the gun manuf's would address this.

Thanks for the info.

I shoot +P ammunition through my XD-M all the time. It's made for it, since European ammunition in 9x19 is generally loaded to higher pressure.

Hope this helps.

Factory +P isn't an issue in any modern service pistol. A pocket 9 like the Rorbaugh not so much, they are tiny and are not designed for +P use. An XDm dwarfs a Rorbaugh, and is made for whatever reasonably well-made cartridge you can put in it. And for most pistols, the difference between +P and standard pressure isn't really a big deal at all. You're still only talking about a 115, 124, or 147 grain bullet atrelatively low speed. Another 50-100 feet per second isn't going to have a noticeable impact on a quality service oriented pistol.
