I just got a sig p238 and the trigger sucked, hard pull and rough. so i got a snap cap and dry fired it about a thousand times. i have been cocking it without pulling the slide. trigger is feels great now. lighter and crisp. maybe i go for lighter pull later put right now it is good while i get used to SAO carry.
.
what i want to know is if all this dry firing is bad for the hammer spring (or any other springs). should it be replaced at any point.

Not as long as it always goes bang when you shoot it.

Recoil springs need to be replaced occasionally, but hammer springs hardly never.
