Are these two 9mm pistols similar in design and operation? I’m a little familiar with the P89, but never shot or handled a Sig m11.
Any help appreciated!
Both are traditional DA/SA double stack 9mm pistols.
The P89 has a slide mounted safety/decocker. IE: once you use it to decock the hammer you can leave it in a "safe" position. You must manually move it to the fire position before pulling the trigger.
The M11 has a frame mounted decocking lever. You use it and it defaults to what essentially is the fire position. There is no ''safe" position.
