I was watching a video covering PSA at the 2019 shot show, and they were showing a new customs line of accessories, including drop in triggers and optics. This is a turn to a very different market segment for PSA.

I think this will turn out to be very interesting, and put significant pressures on the accessories market. Say what you will about PSA, good or bad, they are definitely having an outsized impact on the firearms marketplace.

it will be interesting to see if those components are true in-house designs, or just someone else's product with their name on them.

For the trigger, it would be a simple matter for them to design and make in house, in regards to optics, pretty much all the major brands are designing on their own, but contracting the work out to factories in China / Asia. These producers also operate a significant amount of to-order scopes and optics. It's fairly standard in the industry. The interesting part of the optics line, they have said publicly that their market price range is not 150 or less, and not extreme high end. They intend to come running in the mainstream quality price points.

I say more power to them. More competition and options for us. Some of the "blue collar" stuff has been slowly creeping up in price. Nothing better than a new line to keep it all in check.

Remember, the glut of overstock ( from the possibility of Clinton being elected ) is dwindling fast... So the Trump Slump will be ending soon.

There has never been a better time than right now for deals on quality midrange ar15 rifles.

Deals have been dwindling in some aspects of the AR market. But deals can still be had. And building a quality AR is still very reasonable. I just built two AR-47’s for less than $800 with optics. I’m definitely looking forward to what PSA brings out.
