Parkerizing ?

well, I just like to ask.....
can I parkerize a "smooth finished" metal (slide, receiver)?
I did not sandblasted or glassbeaded it because I planned it
to be re-blued on the first place but I changed my mind....
I want it to be parkerized now.... can the steel phospate
absorb to smooth surface of my gun? pls help....

Yes. You can order a kit and do it on the stove, or send it off to a gunsmith.

You can parkerize a smooth finish I like to hit the metal with a little bead blast or even sand, but it isn't necessary. The stuff you do on the stove will do a good job but follow the directions to the letter.
