The PIF thread in Reloading has been successful in providing unused or unwanted items for those who needed them. I asked Art if it would be OK to donate items here related to hunting and he suggested a PIF thread, so here it is

The 'rules' are: 1) If you claim an item you must be prepared to donate an item.
2) The donor pays shipping fees also.

Suggested items would be hunting accessories, gun parts, and camping items. Also decoys, etc.

Hopefully we can clean out our closets while providing something useful for others.

Ill Update this with pictures tomorrow, but heres what i got

1. Ruger SBH scope mount. I installed it messed with my trs-25 on the gun and took it off. Its pretty much brand new just no box. Ill find a set of rings to go with it.

2. 5" Damascus Fixed blade knife. No idea where it came from, found it in my truck one day and none of my friends laid claim to it.
Gone to Patocazador

3. Arisaka T-99/Rem 600, model 7(...others I think) scope mount slightly modded works as designed. (ill find rings for this as well).

4. Ruger American Magnum/long action stock. Modded.
Forend is filled with epoxy, rail on the bottom, and there are threaded points at the back to install a (modified) ATI Taclite style riser. I can make new tension plates and help with the install if desired.
It's also painted with gray granit texture paint underneath the splotchy black. I can also repaint with either color.

5. Mossberg 802 (should also fit 702s) plinkster stock. Wood under the flex seal.

6. Rem700 detachable bottom "metal" kit from Howa/legacy. The mags wrecked, but the rest is works fine. The paint should be pretty easy to strip. It has steel inserts so torque can be set higher.

7. Gerber...uh...some kinda knife, with teak scales. Gut hooks dull blades sharp. Screws are functional but ugly, standard 10-32s tho so easily changed.

8. Sightmark .44Mag laser boresighter.

I've got a set of original equipment wood grips for a J-frame S&W. I think they're from a Model 36 Chief's Special. If you want them, let me know.

LoonWolf, I've always wanted a Damascus blade. I'll PM my address to you.

Damn you sir! Lol I was hoping for a skinning knife.

I'll search around to see if I have any items I may not need.

Great thread idea!

Edit: I believe I have a gambrell with most of the things still in the box. I may have taken out the cheap nylon rope to hang my wife's doe. I'm sure some paracord would work just fine with it. I'll post up a picture when I dig it out. Please be a bit patient with me as I have been more busy than normal. I haven't been around the board as often as I have been lately so you can text me at area code (google southern Oklahoma area code) 490-2748. That's the most efficient way to contact me.

This thing wouldnt have worked great for a skinning knife (tho i did use it last time we did cows), its got a big heavy blade...Maybe @Patocazador will post a picture when he gets it, cause we all like looking at stuff lol. Its cleaned and boxed ready to go...last thing i did outside today lol

Just for you tho, i have a Gerber fixed blade gut hook knife with a pretty deep belly, that i dont use anymore (I found it when i was digging thru my good "crap" box for the Damascus knife). Pictures will have to wait another day. Went hunting today and now im tired LOL.

Lol no worries! I have a cheaper Gerber that I used last year that did ok. The only issue I have with it is that the metal seems a bit soft. I knew it was cheap when I bought it but just wanted something temporary until I bought a scalpel (forget the brand name). With that said, if anybody else speaks up wanting or needing it they are more than welcome to it! Otherwise I would be happy to utilize it!

get anything hunting

dang that big 375 and u miss lol.
Lol I was using my heavy 7 . The area we hunted usually has shots in the 200-400yd range. The sheep I shot at ran by at about 50 lol. That 7 swings sooo smooth....it's hard to hit stuff that drops out of the scope suddenly lol.

Oh speaking of, I have some modified stocks that folks might want. I'll take some pictures and add them to my first post.

I got called out of town unexpectedly, I will dig up and post when I get back home. The joys of middle management positions in large corporations...

I thought of something. If it still works. Pretty nifty toy.
