Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D – Calif.) cited her oath to "protect and defend" the U.S. Constitution as the reason Congress should enact harsher gun control measures.

In a press release marking the one-year anniversary of the Aurora, Colorado shootings, the former Speaker of the House said: "In Congress, there can be no more fitting memorial to the lives lost in Aurora, in Newtown, and across the country than a concerted effort to enact commonsense gun safety legislation."

As a Lawyer and Constitutional patriot, I must insist she take some basic Con law classes. What is truly sad, is many people think just like her. They just dont know any better! If she wishes to fullfill her "oath to the Constitution", she should step down from politics. Anything else is against everything our Constitution stands for.

Implementing the policies of the US government is not the same as "upholding and defending the Constitution".

One of the first steps on way of straightening the county should be for electorate to demand term limits for those in Congress and Senate. It's time for some of those people to got "real jobs". I for one am sick and tired of seeing same faces for decades.
