I have an 1860 Colt by Pietta and the wrench that I use for the 1858 Uberti Remington doesn not seem to fit properly. It is as if the edges of the wrench are not going down far enough to seat. As I inspect the circular hole, it seems very small as compared to the Remington. On the Remmy, the nipple and the associated "I" seem to protrude above so the wrench firmly grasps the nipple assembly and it unscrews with very little effort, but on the Pietta I cannot see the wrench down inside the hole.

Is there a specific Wrench name or brand that I should look for which is designed for Pietta?

Thanks guys.http://www.thehighroad.org/images/smilies/uhoh2.gif

You need a Colt style nipple wrench .. check Cabelas they have it listed that way and you can see what it looks like .

BigIrons sells a really nice nipple wrench, not pot metal that's easily worn out and breaks. Contact Jules at : http://www.bigironbarrels.com/forum/index.php
Rev cne wrenches should be unsiversal except for the .31 cal and the Walker I do believe. Wrench may be rounded some. I take a good deepwell 1/4" drive socket and dremel cut and grind my own wrench for a good fit.
Works for me anyway.
