I am looking to purchase some tactical gears for myself, just wanna see how did it look and fit on you guys, Please indicate what types and where did you get them. Price would be helpful.

Thanx:)

I'm not sure what you mean, but here's a really bad pic of me wearing a set of USGI ALICE web gear, replete with MILES laser system and M16A2 rifle.

EDIT: I'm sorry, I thought this picture was of better quality, at least as far as the web gear is concerned. Since I can't delete it of my own accord, please accept my apologies.

Though I still look damn cool.

My frame is too small for an LBV and some chest rigs, so I got a big magpouch on my hip...but I may ditch that in favor of two Kydex pouches...going lighter and lighter, I better take care of all my photo ops while I still have all my black nylon....

Based on this definition - which is the true definition - 'going tactical' wouldn't be something you could capture in a photo... it would be a video showing you MOVING, using skill and strategies (ie, camo) to accomplish a specific aim.

Wearing gear without having the skills is called POSING.

This forum you initially posted this on - 'Strategies and Tactics' - is dedicated to discussing STRATEGIES AND TACTICS.... a very serious subject we discuss to STAY ALIVE, not just to look good. I'm moving this to Accessories, for now.

jonny,

I am a member of a militia unit that uses the German "flectarn" or "fleck" camoflage pattern as its standard uniform. My first time out with them I was amazed at how well that pattern concealed them in that AO, which is mountainous, central eastern. I've seen other positive feedback on it from units from some of the southern states east of Texas. It's also really cheap, $4 and $5 for pant and shirt. I don't know if you were considering a camo pattern, but that's what I can offer on that.

Regarding web gear, I personally use the (West) German web harness but wish I had followed the rest of my unit in going with the standard USGI web system.

As for where to get stuff, I'd recommend Cheaper Than Dirt and The Sportsmans' Guide for starters.

Here we have my team in evening wear. I am the second back holding my issued G19 in the CAR High Ready Position. From head to toe I wear Danner boots, BDU, Wilderness Belt, Safariland 6004 drop gear. Safariland Cover Six Entry Vest and surplus kevlar. I always wear black after six.
