Pleasantly surprised by Inexpensive EBay holster OWB

Off topic (sorry for the thread drift), could anyone please explain why exposed trigger designs are so popular on revolver holsters? For a little while it was all i could find, and I would prefer not to have an exposed trigger.

I’m not bashing at all. Just want to understand bc it seems as though covering a trigger in field conditions or in concealed carry conditions is something you’d really want.

I see more exposed trigger holsters among the old/vintage holsters than I've noticed with newer ones. I think most people now prefer the triggers covered for obvious reasons. The biggest problem I can think of with a open trigger is if you were in a scuffle the trigger could be pulled while you're wearing the gun.

Just a guess, but I would say that rightly or wrongly revolver triggers are regarded as inherently safe. Seems foolish to me, but the long DA revolver trigger pull just puts people into that frame of mind.

My holster came in the mail and I’m as pleased as punch. This and the mustang walnut grips i found for it complete the project.

Man, I like this rig a lot!
