Please help!!! Need a rear sling mount!

So I'm redoing a 1912 Chilean Mauser for a buddy but the rear sling loop is gone. All that is left is the base with the eyelet. I tried a Mexican one but it's not the right base. I need it to fit the stock exactly and work! Any ideas would be great!:banghead:

Picture? Why not just replace just the loop if the eyelet is still there? I know you can buy them for various other guns (Mini-14 etc...)

I imagine you could take any Mauser rear sling loop, spread the loop open enough to remove it.

Then squeeze it back closed in the original stock mount eyelet.

He wants pretty much all original. I'll try spreading it apart and see if that works. I've been having a lot of problems with numrich gun parts and don't want to have to deal with them
