That is one fine 8 pt. How old do you think he is....3.5, maybe 4.5? What state?

Regards,

Lotsa bruiser bucks on this thread and I'm enjoying it a lot. Been getting a buck on the cams on a friends property near me pretty regular lately. He's about the biggest one in that area according to the trail cams. WGI_0028.JPG Only problem is that he seems to be pretty nocturnal. Here's a shot from almost two weeks ago which is about the best picture of him yet. Too bad it's dark; but what gets me is that in the picture he's standing 10-12 yards directly in front of my ground blind.

Don't count him out yet. They can get pretty goofy and do some stupid things when they get after the ladies. You might have him on the front porch at noon.

..........That's a possibility.. And the property on the south side of the land I'm on is just vacant land, mostly wooded and hasn't been hunted in a few years. It got sold and the new owners are planning to have several hunters over there this fall. I'm hoping they push some deer my way to either the blind or the ladder stand.

I had a grainy pic of a nontypical this year. It turned out to be this guy. Camera is high.

Finally got out today to check the trail cams in the woods next to the house. Haven't done so in a couple weeks. This guy showed up Nov. 11th on the cam closest to the house which isn't more than 50 yards from the side of the house. Have never seen him before, not on a camera or in person. It's state land but I can't gun hunt that section because of a few houses but it can be bow hunted. He probably lives in the woods across the road or else I would have had pix of him on one of three trail cams on this side of the road......ETA. time was actually 11:36 a.m.... WGI_0414.JPG

I finally started getting a few bucks on camera after a 2 week dry spell. Got two poor pictures of a really nice buck but there is no telling where he came from. Followed some does by the feeder. I would love to see him in person. MFDC0631 (2).JPG MFDC0632 (2).JPG
Had a doe or two come through. MFDC0190.JPG

Time to revive this thread. Even though the season is no longer "upcoming". Gun season ended Dec. 8th for me; then there's late bow season from Dec. 9th to the 17th.. Look who shows up at one of two trail cams on my friends property the VERY NEXT DAY, (night, actually) on Dec. 18th. Nobody that I know of has ever seen this deer and it's the only trail cam picture I ever got of him. He's walking 10-12 yards in front of a ground blind. I swear those big bucks know exactly what day they are no longer being hunted. Didn't get any deer off that place this past year but got lots of pictures and 90% of them were at night.
