You've posted this video before and I've watched it before. Overall its good.

I'm not an expert by any means but IMO the first parts about point shooting really up close, what looks like 6-8ft, its kind of silly to teach two hands and bring the gun up to head height.

At that distance one handed hip shooting is really what should be practiced. You can certainly add what you're doing as a possible option but IMO the one handed shooting from the hip should be emphasized at that close a range. And it's really not that hard with a little practice at that close a distance. You also leave a hand free for hand to hand if it comes to that.

I'm sure you and your guys were just "going through the motions" but I feel like it's still going to be too slow at that distance to do what you're showing in a real world scenario.

IMHO the distances youre showing call for the same action as face to face action, which is certainly one handed gun operation.

I've been point shooting, from the hip, with lever actions and pistols since I was just a kid.... I started with BB guns, lol.

I've always enjoyed it... Did it purely for the fun of it.

The result of all that is that I have gotten to be pretty good at it. It's hard to explain really....I do aim, just not with the sights.

Slow shooting BB guns are good practice....you can see the BB's going downrange.

At least that is what worked for me...an old red rider BB gun is what I started with.

After a while you just get a "feel" for it...there is still a sight picture, just like with sights (but without sights, lol).

Actually this is the first time that the complete 70 minute video has been posted here which I was able to do after the demise of Paladin Press.
I am not sure if you saw it in it’s entirety because more than half of the vid deals with one hand point shooting, hip shooting, contact shooting, lateral movement and some basic unarmed strikes.
I have been teaching these skills for over 25 years and have found that starting with two hands keeps students in their comfort zone while allowing them to develop the necessary hand/ eye coordination before moving on.
We had to work within the limitations of a one camera angle which made some of the demos closer than would be practical in real life.

I guess I haven't seen the whole thing then. I stopped watching about 20min into it because I had definitely seen that before.

I didn't mean to sound offputting so I apologize if I came off like that.

I would very much like to get your opinion on the hip shooting section all the way to the end.
And no offense taken.
