Whats a good looking Winchester 9422 going for nowadays? I have a trade in the works and need a fair estimate in value.

No box, lightly used. Most all the blueing (maybe a little wear here and there).

Thanks

Your post jogged my memory about something I'd seen recently, but the assessed value ($895?) seemed way out of whack. Doing a little checking of my own, maybe $400-500 for good or very good condition; if it's in excellent condition, maybe a good 600 or so, though of course some folks get a little persnickity about not getting the papers or even the box. Don't have "the book" to look it up though. But then, I live in Canada and used firearms prices tend to be rather higher up here than down there.

There are some people who'd give their eye teeth for a Win 9422 in excellent or better condition.

Edited to add: Considering how 9422's have lost one or two hundred buck's value over the last few years in the U.S. (though not up here), 400-500 may be the max down there, unless there's something unique about your particular model.

One just sold in a LGS for $800 with an ancient Leupold .22 scope on it. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $750.

A few months back, a local pawn shop had one listed as $800 which I thought ridiculous. But it is what it is.

I still am kicking myself for not buying a 9422M for $450 in as new condition at a local gun shop about a year or so ago. I bought a Marlin 39A that day and was not particularly interested in a 22 Mag at that point. I have since purchased a Marlin 22 Mag rifle.

I have one myself that I think I paid about $400 for a few years ago. It's in excellent shape and I would never part with it willingly.

Thanks Gentlemen - It appears anywhere from $400 to $800 depending on condition and market.
