Why do Winchester primers go on sale so often? I also noticed they have very limited reviews compared to say CCI primers. Does this mean no one is really a fan of them? I am interested in Small pistol for use in two J frame 38spl and 9mm in an M&P. I have heard some pistol primers are hard and some soft. My J frame has issues setting off S&B primers but CCI fire just fine. Maybe interested in Small rifle primers.

On another note I found RMR sells mixed head stamp 38spl brass. Any issues using mixed head stamps in 38spl?

Extreme 38spl bullets vs Berry's? I shoot extreme's now but Cabelas quit carrying them. I was just wondering what the difference is and if I'd be better off switching.

Winchester primers are just fine. Don't know why they seem to be on sale often. The only application I don't like them in is high pressure loads in small rifle, they are a bit soft for this.

Mixed headstamp brass if fine if you're running relatively mild loads, not AT the ceiling, and making casual plinking ammo. If you're shooting bullseye or IHMSA you'll want same HS brass preferably of the same lot, such as new made Starline, etc.

Can't answer as to the bullets. Extreme seem to get a lot of love on here, so somebody will chime in on that.

I don't have an answer for the OP's question... but I have used a lot of Winchester primers. No issues at all with them.

Only "bad" primers I've ever had, I think I got a bad lot of Remington 7 1/2's... numerous duds (misfires) with them. No wonder I got such a deal on them at the gun show.............

I figured ask about the Winchester because online and locally they are always on sale. It kind of threw up a red flag to me.
