Yes before anyone beats me up, I know that ProMag usually equals JUNK. Sometimes they do make a magazine that actually works well and they sure did with their Glock G44 magazines.

I finally got to the range this morning with the two ProMag mags. The ProMag magazines worked flawlessly in my G44 with Federal Champion 510 40Gr ammo I did not have a single malfunction. I loaded the two magazines three times for a total of 108 trouble free rounds. It definitely makes it better as a trainer for my G19 since mag capacity matches now.

I'm not going to lie and say that I was not expecting problems since after all they are ProMag magazines. I was pleasantly surprised.

Given their track record I am always leery of them but, often something of theirs does work. I have a couple of their mags for my KT P11. When I bought the pistol I was having trouble getting a couple more mags. Someone had some made by Promag and they were so cheap I gave them a try. They both have worked for many years. I only use them for range use as I just do not want to trust them. For anyone buying these for the newer Glock I would buy one or two to try first.

Yeah that is why I only bought two. I figured at $15 each, it was worth the gamble. I'm actually surprised that they work. Like I said, I had absolutely zero malfunctions with them. People on other forums are reporting the same results that I had.

For me inferior products are not worth the gamble unless there is no other option.

30 years ago no 44 Auto Mag mags were available for less than $200-250 if you could even find them. I gambled on a $75 Triple K mag which I knew were trash. Low and behold, it actually worked better than the Factory mags!

Glad your gamble paid off Bravo.

I hated to take the gamble. I had problems with both ProMag and Triple K mags in the past. I waited for others to get their ProMag mags and report on their experiences before I bought any myself. Sometimes ProMag does get it right. Their 25 round mag for my Marlin Model 70 actually works as it should too.

I have had great l luck with TripK mags in my various Beretta .22s. I have 5 or 6 of the pistols, about 20 mags, and at least half are TripKs. As reliable as factory, for me.

Think I'll take a few to the range tomorrow!

The TripK mags that I tried in my Star Firestar pistols will not lock the slide back on empty due to the fact that the slide lock groove is cut wrong. All of them are the same. They still feed just fine.
