The latest issue is out, of Concealed Carry Magazine.

It is currently subscription only but I have taken this since issue #1. It has grown in leaps and bounds and has become IMO a definitive publication. I unreservedy recommend it to folks who carry or are considering such. I have BTW no fiscal links with the mag' - just a humble subscriber.

Publisher and Editor is Tim Schmidt and Managing Editor is Maria D'Amato - two fine folks who I think are doing a great job - I enthuse because not only do I enjoy the mag' but with the need to promote all 2A matters and RKBA I think this is another valuable tool in the box.

Contributors include folks you may know .. Pax, George Hill, DDGator, K-Man, DDGator, and of course Oleg has either pics or or some content in there many months.

I can now claim to be (sort of) a 'contributor', as this issue has on the cover one of my photographs - helped by my step-daughter, who is by the far the prettier of the two of us :D. She sports a K&D Belt Defender, set up as cross draw and containing the diminutive Rohrbaugh R9.

Tim also has a while ago started the United States Concealed Carry Association - something I want to see grow and become another force to be reckoned with. Give this your support if you can and also if you haven't subscribed to the magazine - do consider it. RKBA needs all the help it can get.

Nice picture.

My article on LFI 1 will be out next issue. Maria is a sweetheart to work with. She just got married this month, so say "Congrats" when you talk to her next.

Look fwd to that Rob.

I knew about the wedding - which IIRC was around 2nd week of this month - she sent me a pic and she looked positively stunning. My congrats were ahead of time - but also copious!

Indeed a total sweetheart to work with. :)

Nice, Chris!

It must be a huge esteem booster not only to have one of your photos become the cover of a magazine, but to have a family member be the subject -- that's fantastic!

Congrats, Chris!

Is it bad that my first thought was "What is that pistol? I've never seen that before!"

But seriously, I've been looking for some publication that deals directly with concealed carry, rather than the general-purpose gun rags that occasionally mention it. I'm new to the world of CCW, so I need all the information I can get. This looks good.

To be honest, I didn't realize at first that there was a gun on the cover...

First time I've heard of the USCAA and this magazine. I may just have to check it out. :) Granted, I need to get a CHL first...

Looks like a great magazine. I mean the kind that you read. lol I don't think it's legal to carry in Illinois. Does anyone know for sure I never checked into it. I heard there's 4 states you can't. Jim P.S. By the way how many rounds is that magazine?

Chris ~

That really is a great picture of your step daughter. :)

I'm just waiting for the hate mail I'm going to get for my article. You know there's gonna be some!

Thank you Kathy - I was quite pleased. She tho hates the pic!! :uhoh:

As far as the ''hate mail'' aspect goes with articles - bottom line is as we I think know - there is no way on this planet we will or can ever - please everyone! Ain't possible. :) ;)

I have a question...

I appreciate this privacy notice...

P.P.S. If you’re like me, you value your privacy. When you join the USCCA, you can rest easy because we will NEVER rent or sell any of your personal information!

...and wouldn't want it any other way, but...

I assume this is an actual hardcopy magazine delivered to my mailbox. If so, is it in a paper cover or available for anyone to see what I'm getting in the mail? Just like to know in advance...

Thanks.

I suppose they could put it in a plain brown wrapper. That way, instead of the neighbor thinking, "Gee, his new gun magazine is here. He must be a shooter," they could think, "Gee, his new porno mag is here. He must be a pervert." Up to you which you'd prefer.
