PSA rifle kit on a Spike's lower

Went to the gun show in springfield this weekend and my friend picked up a PSA rifle kit $600 and a Spike's tactical lower $114. I'm putting the rifle together for him and wanted to know if anyone has done this before. I've put together several AR's before and don't expect to have any issues. All parts are in good quality.

I have a Spike's lower with PSA upper <shrug>

I have mixed and matched PSA with a few other manufacturers. PSA upper to PSA lower, PSA lower with Bravo upper, PSA part kits and PSA premium BCGs on 3 different ARs. A Saber Defense lower in there somewhere. All the PSA parts i've used seem to be to spec and should mate up with any in spec manufacturer.

That build should be a fine AR.

I have a question for you. I have a CMMG lower mated to my PSA kit, and the finishes don't match. I'm considering replacing the CMMG with a Spikes and thought I'd ask you, does the PSA match the Spikes? But to answer your question, my PSA kit has been a dream come true at a great price. You will not be disappointed as many others will tell you, and if you happens to go wrong, many will vouch for their customer service. I'm looking to get another upper in 6.8 or 300 Blackout myself.

I have a 5.56mm Spikes Upper on a PSA lower (Aero Precision version), as well as a .22 LR CMMG upper on a PSA (LW Schnieder version) lower. The fit and function of both rifles has been excellent.

Before he bought the kit I had the seller of this spikes lower bring it over to the table where the psa kit was. There is a very minor difference in color the spikes lower has just a little bit more shine to it than the psa upper. Which my friend couldn't tell the difference and it didn't bother me either. Also go with the 300 Blackout I promise you will be much more happier with it than the 6.8. And if you want to get rid of that CMMG lower let me know when you get back in MO.
