I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how the 454 casull stacks up against a 30-30 as far as velosoty and trajectories in a 20 inch lever action rifle. Thanks guys.

The 454 is probably best as a 100-150 yard gun. The 30-30 is a bit faster, so isn't going to have as much drop, and will get you out there a little further.

However, most hunting shots are at under 150 yards. At those distances they are a pretty even match ... with the 454 leaving a much bigger hole!

(yes, I own one :) )
