I have a 30-06 and I can say after firing the round in my 30-06 the brass will has to be trimed evey 4 shots these cases are full length resized.
I find that the 243 cal. brass also full length resized can only be reload twice after being trimed to 2.035
Why is the 243 cal need more case trimming then the 30-06

Get the RCBS x-die and after the initial trim, you will never have to trim again.

Sounds like too much headspace in the .243 rifle.

Assuming you shoot the 243 and the 30-06 in only one rifle each, have you considered backing off your FL sizing die a couple of turns and only neck sizing your cases. Matching your cases to your chamber may allow you to trim a bit less. However trimming after firing four times is not unusal.
