I recently got my first gun, and a buddy told me about this site, so here I am, asking my first of probably many newbie questions.
So here we go....
I put 1000 rounds through my gun rather quickly, its a glock 23, and I love it.
However, I decided to field strip and clean it, which I read instructions on.
The kicker is that I know that I applied the solvent and wiped the gunk out a few times. I just don't recall if I completely removed all the residual solvent. My memory is waning so when I finished oiling, and put it together, I was like oh man.
So my question is, how bad would it be if there was some residual solvent remaining in the gun after a cleaning? Because I am pretty sure I wiped it clean before oiling, but I am spacing out and it may be me being a newbie gun nut about everything, but I want to make sure. So if there is some solvent left in there, how bad is it, and should I immediately take it apart and redo the entire thing to make sure its done right, or itll be fine?
Thanks
